Then there were none

January '14
There were Him and Her
The Winter was hot
Under the sole blanket

February '14
They learnt to fly
Like fishes do
(If they would fly)

March '14
They drove to the sea
The sea collapsed at their feet
As they skinny-dipped into the sand

April '14
That was the scorching Summer
When they found Spring in them
She said it first, He said it sweeter

May '14
They moved in together
In a house that was small
On a bed that was single

June '14
They discovered each other
Their souls naked, secrets out
His darkness housed Her demons

July '14
He learnt to cook
She found work
They bought a bigger bed

August '14
He rescued a dog
She paid for the vet
They named it Crooked

September '14
Crooked's last meal was peanut butter
And the last bed was a wooden box
They don't remember the rest

October '14
He got a job
In another city
Their first fight was a disaster

November '14
He didn't leave her
She got a better offer far away
She didn't leave him

December '14
She hated him
He hated himself
He took the job

January '15
There was Him
There was Her
The winter was cold
